Our body, our anxiety-filled mind, dragged from place to place in the chaos of life, immobilizes us. Rather than living by feeling the rush of our lives that tend to speak rather than action, we just live.
Like us adults, our children unfortunately get used to this way of life. They live without feeling, resenting or producing. With the development of technology, phones, tablets and computers that enter every home make children isolate from the still, non-thinking, non-action moment. In this century when children forget to play, we would like to tell you about our creative drama lessons.
Creative drama is based on the principle of being here and now; reminiscent of the human being nourished by life / experience; it is the only branch that helps social constructions. Being both disciplined and having a method enables drama to exist in every field. Its nature, which challenges the monotonous education patterns, meets the principle of learning by experience, and this principle of learning by living allows us to be present, to feel only the present moment, and to experience the experiences.
Children who attend Creative Drama lessons firstly discover themselves. They can build self-confidence simultaneously. As they observe the lives of other children who experience the same moment in the same space, they can draw inferences about their own life, feelings, behaviors and thoughts. They don’t feel alone. They can feel the sense of belonging, through creative drama.
Creative Drama is not only about playing games, creative drama is interdisciplinary in nature and is closely related to many art forms. Creating bridges between music, painting, dance, literature and many more, creative drama also acts as a tool for children to reveal their own talents in many areas. Children, who are afraid of expressing themselves in public, become more inclined to express themselves over time. In creative drama lessons, where teamwork and group awareness are attained at the highest level, children produce as a whole. In our creative drama workshops, which consist Warm-up / Animation and Evaluation stages, different topics are taught every week and achievements are achieved in line with the topics.
